First Friends and CIVIC file compliant against Hudson County Correctional Facility

First Friends Program Director, Sally Pillay was quoted in the New York Times article, Health Care at New Jersey Immigrant Jail Is Substandard, Watchdog Groups Say.  The article considered the First Friends and CIVIC complaint that was filed against the Hudson County Correctional Facility on behalf of 61 detainees, regarding the poor quality of health care.

“The egregious conditions still continue,” said Sally Pillay, program director for First Friends. “I think ICE really has to be accountable here.”
